This prestigious honor highlights Kautex’s commitment to environmental stewardship, innovation, and operational excellence within the automotive supply chain.
The Nissan Annual Supplier Awards celebrate the achievements of top suppliers who have demonstrated outstanding performance in quality, innovation, and sustainability. This year’s event brought together industry leaders to recognize those who are driving positive change across Nissan’s global and regional operations.
Kautex Textron was named a 2025 Regional Sustainability Leader, joining a select group of companies recognized for achieving high scores in Nissan’s sustainability audits and for demonstrating a deep commitment to responsible business practices. The award underscores Kautex’s role in advancing sustainability across the automotive sector, and was received by Sophie Louis, Director Sustainability at Kautex. Angela Monserrat Medina, Sustainability Engineer, also represented Kautex at the event.

- Ambitious Emissions Targets: Kautex is committed to reducing 80% of carbon emissions in Scope 1 & 2 and 30% in Scope 3 by 2030, with the goal of achieving carbon neutrality across all scopes by 2050. These targets are validated by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi).
- Circular Economy Leadership at the plant level: Through the Kautex Waste Elimination Plan (KWEP), the company has diverted millions of pounds of waste from landfill, saved over $2 million since 2023, and set the stage for zero waste to landfill.
- Renewable Energy Expansion: Kautex is implementing renewable electricity across all global plants, with virtual power purchase agreements (vPPA) in Europe and onsite solar installations in China and Europe.
