Kautex Textron has taken a crucial next step in our sustainability journey with the incredible achievement of moving from a Bronze to Platinum rating from EcoVadis.
EcoVadis is the world’s biggest provider of sustainability ratings – assessing more than 130,000 companies from over 180 countries. EcoVadis asseses companies based on their performance in four key categories: Environment, Labor & Human Rights, Ethics, and Sustainable Procurement. Achieving this Platinum rating places us among the top 1% of large companies evaluated by EcoVadis. This rating reflects our exceptional performance and improvement across these areas.
In 2021, Kautex was awarded a Bronze rating from EcoVadis right as we were beginning to earnestly pursue our sustainability journey. In 2024, we saw improvement across all four categories with the most improvement in the Sustainable Procurement showing the work which has been put into engaging our suppliers toward a sustainable future.
Our Director of Energy & Sustainability Sophie Louis stated, “This was honestly a pleasant surprise and the result of a great cross-functional effort across many weeks between Human Resources, Legal, EHS, and the Sustainability teams."
While we certainly celebrate this achievement, we know that our planet can’t be better unless we are better and are excited to build upon our journey laid out in our Sustainability Roadmap.
