At Kautex, we are committed to reducing our carbon footprint and creating products and processes that help drive a cleaner future. In doing so, our Sustainability Roadmap identifies three scopes and related activities that we are focusing on for a greener tomorrow.
We continue to make strides in each of these scopes, and in 2023 saw an array of successes due to the hard work and collaboration of our Sustainability team with the rest of the organization. The team conducted internal Waste Workshops at our operations facilities, where over 100 employees participated and engaged in cost and waste saving activities for their plants. You can read more about those Kaizens and our KEMAP plan here. We also signed a solar energy agreement for all of our plants in Europe and will continue to pursue energy efficient means of operations across the globe. In Scope 3, we saw key accomplishments across our supply chain, requesting a CO2 reduction commitment from our suppliers and pursuing sustainability projects with our customers.
