Expanding Our Footprint in China

At the beginning of March, Kautex celebrated opening ceremonies for the new plant in Tianjin and the Asia Tech Center in Pinghu, China. We were delighted to invite our customers, suppliers, Senior Leadership Team members, local authorities, media friends, as well as some additional Kautex colleagues to jointly witness this awesome milestone.

“The Tianjin plant is our seventh in China and will be Kautex's future growth point in North China. We will produce our industry-leading fuel systems and clear vision systems at the plant. However, The plant’s proximity to current and future customers means it is the perfect location to support these customers with our Pentatonic Battery System,” said Jack Deng, VP Operation Asia.

The Asia Tech Center is at the heart of our transformation and vision to pioneer solutions for new mobility. “We selected China as the location of a 'strategic engineering hub' – knowing that China will produce the most BEV/PHEV vehicles, globally. We chose Pinghu as the Shanghai area represents the largest of the six Chinese automotive clusters. We have relocated our fuel systems testing and validation from Guangzhou to Pinghu and have added testing and validation for our newest product – our Pentatonic battery systems. Today we now fully operational to support e-mobility and fuel testing here in Pinghu,” said Dr. Rainer Jorach, VP Global Engineering.
