Focusing on electromobility and sustainability, Kautex showcased its Pentatonic Battery System at the JEC World 2022 in Paris. The JEC World is an international trade show for composite materials and their applications welcoming over 43,000 visitors as well as more than 1300 materials and equipment suppliers from 112 countries and various industries.
Together with LANXESS, a specialty materials company based in Cologne, Germany, Kautex presented a technology demonstrator of the Pentatonic Battery System. While Kautex took lead in component and process development, LANXESS provided its knowledge around high-performance materials.
What is unique about our Pentatonic Battery system is that it doesn’t require any metallic reinforcements. Unlike inflexible steel and aluminum battery housings, Pentatonic offers a customizable, lightweight solution benefitting feature integration and thermal management.
